Letter to You On Decisions and Order
BISHOP HENRY L. PORTER
July 27, 2010 Greetings in the Name of Jesus, our Savior! Many wonderful things have been coming to me, as I write my new book. Every morning, I am visited by the Most High and He rains upon me His kindness. His mercies are new EVERY morning. I study, and as I study so much opens to me. I do wish that I could sit with you each day and talk. Comfort would sweep your soul again and again. The brightness of Christ will thrill you! I remember the thought God revealed to Rev. C.S. Upthegrove, many years ago, when he spoke the Word from God to my friend, Rev. Jesse Butler, “You can do more together than you can do alone.” The longer I live the more I understand the power of unity and uniting. God knows your rising and your sitting. He knows your days on earth. Some don't act like "Israelites", they've become "Issue-lites". They throw God out of the window, and NEVER walk into the land they walked out of Egypt for.
Isolated from the WORD
Isolated from the WORD Broken Communications Bishop Henry Porter “For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for? And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?” (Deuteronomy 4:7-8, Moses, 3260 years ago) With all good intentions NOT to, you can become isolated from the Word of God. A thousand years before Jesus Christ was born, Moses lead a people, who had been oppressed and enslaved, to a new place that has been written on history ever since. So much has occurred since that time, over 3,000 years ago. Under the commandment of God, Moses taught the people and gave them WORDS (thoughts) that had the power to make them a great people. The people that he led were not professors and statesmen. They were not philosophers, educators, scientists or life coaches. After many great miracles, Moses had to remind them of their beginnings. They had come from 400 years of bondage. So many people forget, after they get on their feet and start a new life. Moses reminded them that he taught them. They had no knowledge of the life they now enjoy. He told them that the reason he taught them was “GOD COMMANDED ME”. Moses remembered that he told God, “NO” at the beginning. He was a reluctant leader. But, he grew.
